The Panasonic NN-DS59RW brings a 28L cavity, 14 cooking modes and 58 auto menus to your countertop. Choose a programme for everyday reheating, steaming, baking or air frying. Top-grill and bottom-steam cooking lets you prepare food on two levels using different heat sources at the same time.
More dual-level cooking demonstrations
Grill above. Steam below. Cook two dishes together.
The top-grill and bottom-steam combination cooks on both levels at once, so you can prepare a main dish and a side in the same oven. Follow the specified recipe, containers and accessory positions when arranging the two dishes.
Suggested pairings include salt-grilled prawns with steamed clams, or grilled enoki mushrooms with steamed tofu, mixed vegetables and shrimp.
Choose air frying or steam cooking.
Air Fry uses upper and lower heating with the included air-fry basket for crisp dishes. Directly injected steam provides another way to cook, with separate Steam Stew and Steam Ferment options for different recipes.
The removable 800ml water tank supplies water for steam cooking.

*Temperature settings above 230°C are maintained for approximately 5 minutes before automatically changing to 220°C.
1,000W is the maximum microwave output, not the appliance’s electrical power consumption.

Choose from 58 auto menus. Some programmes also require you to select a weight or number of servings.
AI infrared sensing and inverter power control.
The intelligent infrared sensor monitors the food’s surface temperature. Sensor Reheat uses this information to adjust heating time automatically, with a selectable target temperature for reheating.
Inverter technology controls microwave power for reheating and defrosting. A separate Turbo Defrost function helps you prepare frozen ingredients.
Practical controls and everyday cleaning.
Colour touch display
Select cooking functions using colour icons and Chinese function labels, then adjust settings with the dial. A child safety lock helps prevent accidental operation.
Flat cavity and four cleaning settings
The non-stick coating, flat cavity and four cleaning settings support everyday care. A honeycomb spherical top design helps distribute heat evenly. Allow the cavity to cool before wiping it with a soft cloth.
Check the dimensions and leave space above.
The NN-DS59RW is for countertop use. No clearance is required at the sides or rear, but leave 25cm above the oven. It must not be built in or used inside a cupboard.
Place it on a flat, stable countertop, keep vents clear, and allow space in front for opening the door, handling dishes and accessing the water tank.
Included accessories for different cooking modes.
A wave-shaped enamel tray and an air-fry basket are included. Container, accessory and shelf-position requirements vary by mode; use the accessory guide in the operating instructions.
Do not use either metal accessory in microwave-only mode. Follow the specified accessory and positioning instructions for combination cooking.

Questions before you buy
Do I need to set the cooking time for every dish?
No. Choose a suitable programme from the 58 auto menus without setting the cooking time manually. Some programmes require a weight or number of servings. Manual cooking modes are also available.
What is the difference between the 390mm and 436mm depths?
The 390mm body depth excludes the handle; 436mm includes it. Also allow space in front for opening the door, handling food and accessing the water tank.
Can the enamel tray and air-fry basket be used in every mode?
No. Do not use these metal accessories in microwave-only mode. For other modes, follow the operating instructions for the correct containers, accessories and shelf positions.

The AI temperature sensor is great, but the user manual is quite confusing. Had to spend a lot of time figuring out the different combination modes. BBE customer service was helpful when I called to ask about the warranty though.
