For concrete window sills, aluminium angle supports or plastic posts may be used. If the bottom of the unit is more than 3.5 inches above the sill, there is no concrete sill, or an aluminium frame or hoisting is required, extra charges apply. Customers must provide the glass. A suitable power supply must be provided within 0.5 m of the unit. If BBE is required to install a socket base, charges apply separately. For Panasonic / Rasonic inverter cool & heat window AC models, a stainless steel drain pan is recommended and aluminium-frame feasibility should be checked.
Other Notes for Window Type Air Conditioners
- Installation work is warranted by the contractor for one year. Product warranty and repair are provided by the relevant product distributor according to its warranty terms.
- Warranty covers the frame and water leakage caused by poor glass sealing.
- Warranty and repair do not include scaffolding/safety platforms or issues caused by improper maintenance, such as leakage due to drain hose blockage from lack of regular maintenance.
- Installation work is carried out by a government-recognised minor works contractor, who directly assumes installation responsibility and third-party insurance.
- Any relocation after installation will be quoted separately.
- Customers must obtain prior approval from the owner, building management, Housing Department or other relevant parties, and assess installation feasibility.

Split AC site inspection fee is HK$100. If the split AC installation is confirmed after inspection, the amount will be deducted from the installation charge. A specific inspection date/time cannot be arranged; the technician will contact the customer to schedule. Inverter or cooling/heating models require additional control wiring and will be quoted separately.

Other Notes for Split Type Air Conditioners
- Air conditioners may only be installed on a stable window or AC platform with sufficient space.
- Installation work is warranted for one year; product warranty is provided by the relevant distributor according to its warranty terms.
- Warranty covers the frame, water leakage caused by poor glass sealing, and refrigerant leakage caused by poor pipe connection.
- Scaffolding, safety platforms and issues caused by improper maintenance are not included.
- If the AC or piping is covered or finished with other materials, any future removal/reinstatement for inspection or repair is the customer’s responsibility.
- The contractor will not apply for electricity meters or ventilation licences on behalf of the customer.
- The installation location must be confirmed by the customer. Any relocation or reinstallation after installation will be quoted separately.
- After completion, decoration and finishing repairs are the customer’s responsibility.
- For window-sill split AC installations, future repair or maintenance costs arising from location and glass removal/sealing limitations are borne by the customer.
- If existing refrigerant pipes or drain pipes are reused, related future repair or maintenance costs are borne by the customer.
- Third-party and public liability insurance coverage is HK$20,000,000. If the building requires higher coverage, the additional requirement is borne by the customer.
- Charges may differ if delivery/installation is arranged by an agent or other contractor.
- A compliant power supply must be provided by the customer near the unit. Items not listed in this fee schedule must be discussed with the technician.
- *Waterproofing and finishing are not included.

Staircase Handling
Except for village houses, where 14 steps count as one floor, other buildings count 10 steps as one floor. The first 5 steps are free of charge.
